National Heart Month
The Cardiovascular Division and Lillehei Heart Institute will be hosting National Heart Month events throughout February, including:
- A month-long step challenge with prizes for participants who log the most steps*
- Photobooths to share wacky photos with your friends in support of heart health
- 3-D printed heart model painting*
- Yoga classes*
- Heart healthy recipes

Heart Month Calendar
Get Moving! Join us for a step challenge and track your steps during February, a.k.a. National Heart Month. The participant with the most steps wins a fab trophy!
Keep track of your standing by joining our InKin app group (dowload the app at https://www.inkin.com/), or just check in each week with your total so far.
To qualify for the competition, registration is required. The deadline for registration is Feb 1, 2018.
The Challenge applies to all steps taken during the month of February. Unles you're using the InKin app, you will get an email at the end of the month asking for your steps total.
Go Red Photo Booths
Show off your red duds on social media with our photobooth! We'll provide the wacky gear, you bring yourself and your phone to tweet/insta/facebook pics in support of heart health.
Gentle Yoga with Adam C. Tills
Bring your own mat; a limited number of mats will be available for those who do not have one.
Cost is $5 per particpant and registrations is required. Limit 20 participants.

About the Instructor:
Adam C. Tills is the Studio Director at Heat Yoga and a coach at Orange Theory. He has also taught at LifeCore Yoga. Adam is a certified personal trainer with 3 years experience as a yoga instructor.
3D-printed Heart Painting
Create a unique keepsake while getting a cardiac anatomy lesson from the Visible Heart Lab. Paint a 3D-printed model of an actual human heart.

The CORE* team will be hosting a booth for Heart Failure Awareness week. The booth will feature low sodium recipes to hand out for patients, Heart Failure awareness flyers, a heart model to discuss types of heart failure with heart failure statistics, and heart-shaped candy to sweeten the deal!
