June 9, 2017

Tania Incitti, Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Associate in the lab of Rita Perlingeiro, was awarded first place among post-doctoral scholars in the Young Investigators Competition held during the Visscher Symposium on June 6, 2017. The title of her abstract was "Genomic profiling reveals novel PAX7 targets CD54, integrin α9β1 and SDC2, as markers for isolation of human ES/iPS cell-derived muscle progenitors." Tania has been a member of the Perlingeiro lab since January, 2016. Her research focus is skeletal muscle regeneration from differentiating pluripotent stem cells, in particular those cells' long term regenerative potential.
