Forum Kamdar, MD has been selected to receive one of the Women Early Research Career (WERC) Awards from the Department of Medicine, for her project Unlocking the Role of Cardiac Calcium Pump Dysregulation in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Cardiomyopathy. The objective of the WERC award is to provide supplemental research funding for women to help advance their research to the point that they can submit a competitive R01 application (or R01 equivalent), as Principal Investigator, within three years. The grant provides $50,000/year for a period of two years.
